Thinking About the Future
Have you figured out exactly what you want to do with the whole rest of your life and which major will get you there? Well, then Major Madness is not for you. If, however, you are still trying to figure out what you want to do with your life, I recommend that you stop by the majors fair tomorrow. That is Thursday, February 20th, from 3 to 5. For this event, all you need to bring are your questions about each and every major you may be considering.
If you have already settled on a major, perhaps you need help choosing a minor. In that case, this is the event for you as well. Representatives from each of the departments will be in the Banquet Room ready to tell you whatever you need to know about every major and minor. There’s even a chance you’ll learn about a major you didn’t know was offered.
Even if you know exactly which programs you will be sticking with for the rest of your time at NCU, Major Madness will give you a chance to match a face to each of the departments. Most of the department heads will be representing their own major, including:
- Dr. Loren Crow, Bible & Theology
- Dr. Connie Wilmarth, Mathematics
- Dr. Lanta Davis, English
- Dr. Steve Goetz, History
- Dr. Doyle Srader, Communications
- Dr. Nani Skaggs, Psychology
- Dr. Terry O’Casey, Christian Ministries
- Dr. Mick Bollenbaugh, Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS)
It would be beneficial to connect with each of these professors as you will most likely have elective or core classes with several of them at some point.
Or you could come for the cookies, because we’ll have those, too.
